DeepTutor: AI-Powered Personalized Learning Assistant
DeepTutor is an open-source AI personal learning assistant recently launched by the University of Hong Kong, and it has been quite popular lately.
Through a multi-agent collaborative architecture, it integrates functions such as document Q&A, knowledge visualization, practice question generation, and in-depth research. It can build a dedicated knowledge base based on the textbooks or papers you upload, providing step-by-step answers with citations, personalized exercises, and real exam simulation.
It is now nearing 8k stars on GitHub.

This open-source project adopts the Socratic teaching method. When you ask it a complex science question, it will not directly tell you the result.
Instead, like a patient tutor, it inspires you to think about the logic of the problem on your own through step-by-step guidance and counter-questions.
This progressive interaction mode helps students construct a complete problem-solving thinking framework. It will detect logical flaws in your answers and provide targeted hints.
For students or self-learners, this guided interaction is more educational than simple Q&A, allowing you to truly grasp the core of knowledge.
